About BYUAA - Las Vegas Chapter  
     
  The Brigham Young University Alumni Association-Las Vegas Chapter was most recently organized in 1997. Before that time, a Las Vegas alumni organization existed but was not active in promoting events and lacked a board of directors to coordinate alumni programs.

Since 1997, chapter volunteers have continuously organized events and served as facilitators to keep BYU alumni and friends in Las Vegas in touch with the University.

Through funds raised at Alumni events, the Las Vegas Alumni Chapter provides scholarships for local students attending BYU. Replenishment of this fund remains one of the driving forces behind chapter activities.

Alumni of BYU-Idaho and BYU-Hawaii are also included on the Las Vegas Alumni Board to represent alumni and friends from their respective institutions.

We embrace all other BYU alumni organizations and work hand-in-hand with them to plan activities and events for Las Vegans.

Our mission is to build uncommon loyalty, support and service among alumni and friends of BYU in the southern Nevada area. We strive to bring together BYU alumni and friends in worthwhile activities that promote a sense of community while supporting the mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

We serve as liaisons between BYU and alumni and friends living in the Las Vegas Valley.
